Angela Spurlin is the Vice-President & Chief Financial Officer of CEA Private Equity Group and is responsible for financial reporting and taxes for CEA’s equity investment portfolio which includes financial and tax aspects of Atlantic American Partners funds and portfolio of investments. Angela returned to CEA in 2024; previously she was Controller and supported Ming and the private equity team to develop CEA’s ten private equity funds from 1999 to 2009.
She most recently was CFO at Mezrah Consulting where she oversaw the financial aspects of the company and developed organizational strategies to assist companies in recruiting and retaining executive talent. She also served as CFO of a real estate private equity manager that invested directly in six residential and mixed-use properties and oversaw the financial management of the properties.
Prior to Mezrah Consulting, Angela was the Controller of a Forbes 400 family office that owns and operates one of the largest privately held companies in the world. She created all financial policies and procedures in this Company as it was a newly formed family office. Primary responsibilities included investment return analysis, reporting, operations of the firm and financial operations of certain private company investments. Angela has served many different roles including Vice President of Finance of a leading provider of legal support services nationwide and tax associate in both a large public company and public accounting firm.
Angela holds a Master of Accountancy and Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Florida where she also graduated with honors. She is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Florida Institute of CPAs and American Institute of CPAs. Angela was very involved in Delta Gamma Sorority during college and as an alumnus and served in various officer positions. She also is a contributor and supporter of Free Spirit Equestrian Center& Rescue, Inc., Suncoast Kingfish Classic, Shanna and Bryan Glazer Jewish Community Center, Humane Society of Tampa Bay, and the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA.
