Martin joined CEA in 1990 to work in its Corporate Finance practice advising traditional media companies on their M&A activities and financial requirements in the UK and Europe. He left in 1999 to establish and run a radio fund for the UK and Europe, returning in 2008 to advise clients in the media and software sectors from CEA’s London base.
Martin has over 25 years of experience advising a wide variety of businesses from smaller entrepreneurial-led companies to multinational media and software companies covering not only their corporate finance needs, but also developing their growth strategy, reviewing business plans and setting milestones for implementation.
Martin has worked with Broadcast TV and Radio, Cable and Satellite Platforms, Content Providers, Publishing, Business Information, Games, mobile applications and software and telecom companies across the UK and Europe.
Prior to joining CEA, Martin advised the Shadow Radio Authority on the start-up and launch of national radio in the UK.
At British Telecommunications plc, he was responsible for managing company interests in a number of cable and satellite channels including MTV Europe. He also worked for a Washington DC-based economic consultancy focused on radio and television in the U.S.
