Our Team

Matthew joined CEA Group as an Intern in the Dallas office in 2024.

Over the last 5 years, Matthew Whitehouse has completed an undergraduate degree in Finance with a minor in Spanish, and a Master’s of Science in Finance, all from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. During that time, Matthew has also worked in consulting and private equity.

While studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain his junior year, Matthew worked for Barcelona Metropolitan Strategic Plan (PEMB), researching the co-working space in the city, and advising his managers and the city of Barcelona on future co-working and neighborhood development trends. In addition, he worked for The Promise Venture, a fund of funds investing in search funds across the lower middle market. While completing his Masters degree, Matthew worked for Dal Fort Capital Partners, a lower middle market PE fund in the industrials and specialty chemicals sectors. His responsibilities included: managing deal pipelines, monitoring data rooms, compiling and cleaning financial data, developing investment theses, building investment memoranda, and assisting in financial modeling for PE buyouts in the industrials sector,

Prior to moving to Dallas, Matthew grew up in in a military family in Phoenix, AZ.  He loves to play golf with his friends and family.
