Paul Allen Henley joined CEA Group in 2018 in the investment banking division of the firm. As Senior Managing Director, Paul's responsibilities include securing and executing various transactions in M&A, private placements of debt and equity and advisory opportunities.
Mr. Henley spent over 25 years working as an Investment Banker beginning his career with Morgan Stanley and later joining Lehman Brothers. He also founded and was Principal of two investment firms: Horizon Capital and Athena Capital Partners.
Paul Henley’s prominent career as a banker is distinguished by the many companies he assisted in capital structure planning/implementation and financing and M&A advisory. Mr. Henley also served as CEO for several early-stage public companies, including re-structuring situations. His extensive experience with large firms, the founding of two boutique investment firms as well as his time serving as CEO gives him a unique perspective in working with developing companies.
In the recent past, Paul has led Financing and M&A transactions in the Agriculture/Food, Biometrics, Insurance/Fintech, Medical Diagnostics, Business Services, Green Energy, Broadcast Media, Social Networking and Esports sectors, representing approximately $600M in deal value.
Mr. Henley was raised in Florida and graduated from Florida State University as a double major, earning bachelor's degrees in Business and Marketing. He also holds Series 79 and 63 licenses.
Paul resides in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Henley is the Managing Director of U-Group (Texas), a business accelerator headquartered in Silicon Valley (Milpitas, CA). He is active with the Dallas Opera and Operation Kindness, a Dallas-based no-kill animal shelter, and a Dallas Stars season ticket holder.
